Pleasant Valley Sunday by The Monkees.

I had no idea what I was going to write about for today’s entry until I purchased something at a store. Do you remember the yellow poncho resembling an oriental rug that Micky Dolenz from The Monkees used to wear? If you don’t, click here for a picture, he’s on the far left. Well, I found a newer shirt in a similiar style with red, white, and brown print on it. It was only $4!

Pleasant Valley Sunday was written by Gerry Goffin and Carole King. The lyrics were inspired by a street in West Orange, New Jersey called Pleasant Valley Way. It was released on The Monkees fourth album entitled Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn, & Jones Ltd. (Micky is a Pisces like me!)
