LIVE exploded in the mid ’90s with Throwing Copper and its three big hits I Alone, All Over You and Lightning Crashes. This track came a few years later and is to me one of the greatest rock songs in the past fifteen years or so. Go back twenty years and I would also include Operation Spirit (talk about intense lyrics…give that song a listen) from their first real album Mental Jewelry in 1991. How this song didn’t become a huge hit baffles me as everything is nearly perfect. Great vocals and very interesting yet catchy music throughout. I seriously wish this band could have kept it going. This is one hell of a song.
