Out of Touch by Hall & Oates.

It was another one those days where I wasn’t quite sure what to focus on for today’s entry. So, I went to Google and typed in “October 11 Musician Birthdays” and Daryl Hall’s name came up instantly. Problem solved.

Out of Touch was released in October of 1984 from the album Big Bam Boom. It made #1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 for two weeks and also made #5 in Canada. It was the last #1 hit the duo had.

In 1985, John Oates did an interview with the New York City Tribune and stated that the “soul” is one of the central themes of the song. The lyrics talk about the importance of the soul and how it’s important to hang onto.

Above is the official video. Happy 65th Birthday Daryl Hall!
