Lullaby by The Cure.

In honor of All Hallows Eve, I decided to find a creepy song for tonight’s entry. What to write about? Only a song from one of the most talented musicians with the ability to dive into beautiful love songs and swim in an island of mystery and darkness. He is Robert Smith and his band is The Cure

Lullaby was released in 1989 from the album, Disintegration (one of my favorites). I don’t think it became a single in the United States but it’s occasionally played today on Sirius. However, it was a single in the UK, making the #5 spot. It became their highest UK charting single. It also won best video at the 1990 Brit Awards.

According to songfacts, the lyrics were based on a recurring nightmare that Robert had as a child where he was eaten by a giant spider.
