I Get Weak by Belinda Carlisle.

Ah, today’s entry features a song that makes love look a little bit brighter than it usually turns out to be. There’s no sadness in this one, so those of you with a wounded heart (like me) should read no further. Your song will be tomorrow.

I Get Weak was released as a single in February of 1988 from Belinda’s second album, Heaven on Earth. The lyrics were written by Diane Warren. It went to #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and to #10 in the UK. It also  did well in Canada and Ireland, charting at #4 and #5 respectively.

Above is a live performance. I bet there were a lot of girls in the 80’s listening to this song and thinking about that boy
