About Me

Meet the Writer

285295I’m a Pisces & a child of the 90’s. My earliest music memory would be around 5 or 6 years old, listening to Nirvana’s Come As You Are. Every time I’d hear it on the radio, I’d yell for someone to turn it up. Once I was older, I’d listen for it every night on the radio. Nine times out of ten I’d either hear that song or Smells Like Teen Spirit.

I’ve gone through all the genres at one time in my life, except for Classical and Country. Pop and Rap was in Elementary; Alternative in Junior High; Classic Rock, Punk & Metal in High School; New Wave, Soft Rock, R&B, & Pop-Rock in College; and today…Electronic, Indie, & Dream-Pop. Who knows what it will be in ten years?

Music & writing are a big part of my life and that’s why I wanted to start this blog. I’m surprised I didn’t start it earlier. It’s proven difficult to get an audience though…my personal blog gets more hits in one day than this one does for a new entry. I guess the world will always live in people’s business versus the beautiful things in life, like music.

I collect music memorabilia like songbooks, vinyls, guitar picks, vintage tour shirts, music magazines, and autographs. I’ve also met some famous musicians along the way – 80’s rocker Pat Benatar, Peter Tork of The Monkees, all members of Three Days Grace, and most recently, my all-time favorite song writer/singer – Aimee Mann of the 80’s new wave band, ‘Til Tuesday.

Anyways, I hope you enjoy this blog. I try to cover various genres but if you ever have any requests, feel free to leave a comment below. Thanks for visiting! Please like MLL on FB!
